Multiply second by 2: \(4x - 6y = 12\). Add: \(13x = 84\) ⇒ x = \(\frac{84}{13}\). Substitute into \(3x + 2y = 24\): \(3(\frac{84}{13}) + 2y = 24\) ⇒ \(\frac{252}{13} + 2y = 24\) ⇒ \(2y = 24 - \frac{252}{13} = \frac{312}{13} - \frac{252}{13} = \frac{60}{13}\) ⇒ y = \(\frac{30}{13}\).
