Did You Know?

Absolute error is calculated as the difference between the measured value and the actual (true) value. Formula: Absolute Error = |Measured Value - Actual Value|. Here: Absolute Error = |25.3 - 25.0| = |0.3| = 0.3 cm. The absolute value (| |) means we always take the positive difference, regardless of whether the measurement was too high or too low. In ECZ exams, absolute error questions often appear in practical mathematics and physics papers where experimental measurements are involved. Remember: absolute error has the same units as the original measurement.
