Crisis Intervention in Trauma
Q: Define triage in relation to health care
Did You Know?
Compassion fatigue is a state of emotional, physical, and spiritual exhaustion that reduces a caregiver's ability to empathize or feel compassion for others. It is often a result of prolonged exposure to stressful and traumatic events in the care of patients. Symptoms resemble burnout and post-traumatic stress and include chronic tiredness, irritability, detachment, difficulty concentrating, and a diminished sense of personal accomplishment. Self-care and organizational support are crucial to address it.
