Introduction to Pharmacology and Pharmacokinetics
Q: Which of the following is a potential pharmacodynamic interaction?
Did You Know?
The IκB kinase (IKK) complex is the central regulator of the canonical NF-κB pathway. It is composed of two catalytic subunits, IKKα and IKKβ, and a regulatory subunit, IKKγ (NEMO). Upon activation by upstream signals, the IKK complex phosphorylates IκB proteins on specific serine residues. This phosphorylation serves as a signal for the ubiquitination and rapid degradation of IκB by the 26S proteasome.
