Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) Eligibility and Initiation
Q: What is the primary goal of 'Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis' (PrEP) for HIV?
Did You Know?
Due to the presence of memory B and T cells from the primary exposure, the secondary immune response has a shorter lag phase (faster onset), produces a much higher peak antibody titer, and consists predominantly of high-affinity IgG antibodies. The primary response has a longer lag, lower titer, and starts with IgM.
