Both ganglionic blockers (e.g., trimethaphan) and muscarinic blockers (e.g., atropine) can cause blurred vision, dry mouth, constipation, and tachycardia due to parasympathetic blockade. However, ganglionic blockers also block sympathetic ganglia, leading to profound orthostatic hypotension due to loss of sympathetic vasomotor tone, which is less prominent with pure muscarinic blockers.
