Electoral Systems and Processes
Q: Which electoral system makes the voters often have little or no contact with the people who represent them?
Did You Know?
The Zambian Constitution establishes three distinct organs of government: the Executive (headed by the President), the Legislature (Parliament), and the Judiciary (court system). This separation of powers ensures that no single organ becomes too powerful and creates a system of checks and balances. Each organ has specific functions and operates independently while providing oversight over the others, maintaining democratic governance in Zambia.
