Mechanics I

This topic covers scalar and vector quantities, linear motion, forces, circular motion, moment of a force, and equilibrium. Learners will distinguish between scalar and vector quantities, derive equations of motion, solve problems involving forces and circular motion, and apply the principle of moments. These fundamentals are crucial for ECZ exam success and develop problem-solving skills. Zambian students will learn to analyse real-world situations, such as vehicle motion and structural stability, in line with CBC learning outcomes.

Outcomes

If you passExcellent! You have mastered the core principles of mechanics, which are essential for solving complex problems in ECZ Physics examinations.
If you don't pass yetMechanics requires practice. Review vector operations, equations of motion, and moments, then try again. Each practice session strengthens your problem-solving ability.
