Structure: Subject-Verb Agreement
This foundational topic covers the rule that a verb must agree in number with its subject (singular subject = singular verb). It is perhaps the most critical CBC grammar rule and is extensively tested in all ECZ English papers. Zambian learners will practice applying agreement rules with various subjects, including compound subjects and those separated by phrases, to eliminate a major source of error in their writing.
