The Nervous System

Students will demonstrate understanding of the nervous system's composition, including neurones, the spinal cord, and the brain. They will learn about reflex arcs, different types of reflexes, and the functions of brain parts. The topic also covers the effects of drug abuse and tetanus infection on the nervous system. This is a core area of the ECZ syllabus for coordination and response. Mastery enables learners to answer complex questions on neural control and understand issues related to neurobiology and health.
