Types of Literature (Written Literature)

This topic covers the major genres of Written Literature: Prose, Drama, and Poetry. Students will learn to distinguish between these forms, understand their basic structures and elements, and begin composing and performing simple creative pieces. The focus is on building foundational knowledge of narrative, dramatic, and poetic techniques as prescribed in the Zambia CBC. Engaging with this topic develops the analytical and creative competencies needed for deeper text study in Forms 3-4 and for tackling exam questions on genre identification and analysis.
