The loading dose (LD) is calculated as: LD = Target Concentration (C_target) × Volume of Distribution (Vd). To achieve the same target concentration (C_target), the loading dose must be proportional to the Vd. The patient's Vd (110 L) is double the standard Vd (55 L). Therefore, the loading dose must also be doubled to fill the larger distribution volume to the same concentration. 30 mg × 2 = 60 mg.
