Q: Which of the following is NOT part of the endogenous analgesia system?
Did You Know?
Allopurinol is a xanthine oxidase inhibitor that reduces the production of uric acid. It decreases both serum uric acid levels and the amount of uric acid filtered by the kidneys, leading to lower urinary uric acid excretion. This is in contrast to uricosurics like probenecid, which increase urinary uric acid excretion.
