Form 1

Form 1 is the first year of secondary education under the Zambia Education Curriculum Framework, providing learners with a solid foundation for competence-based learning. At this level, pupils transition from primary concepts to a broader range of subjects, including Mathematics, English Language, Integrated Science, Social Studies, ICT, and Creative and Technology Studies. Emphasis is placed on developing critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and independent learning skills. Learners are introduced to ECZ assessment formats, continuous evaluation, and practical exercises aligned with the national syllabus. Form 1 materials on 25schools support revision, past examination questions, and structured practice that strengthen learners’ confidence and readiness for higher Forms while adhering to the Zambian curriculum.
