Set study goals with your child and celebrate them together

Agree a target with your child, such as a points total or an accuracy level, track it on 25schools and mark it achieved together.

“Study harder” is hard to act on. “Reach 70% accuracy in Maths by the end of the month” is not. Goals on 25schools let you and your child agree a clear target, follow it together and celebrate when it is reached.

How goals work

  1. Talk with your child about what they want to improve.
  2. In the parent portal, create a goal, such as a points total or an accuracy level.
  3. Follow it as they revise. Their progress updates as they answer questions.
  4. When they reach it, mark it achieved together, and start the next one.

Tips for good goals

  • Make it specific. A number and a date work better than “do better”.
  • Make it reachable. A goal for this month keeps motivation up more than one for the whole year.
  • Agree it together. A goal your child helped set is one they care about.
  • Celebrate effort. Notice the revision, not only the result.

Why it helps

Children work harder towards targets they understand and can see. A shared goal also turns your role from checking up to cheering on, which keeps conversations about school positive.

The free parent plan includes one active goal at a time; paid plans allow more. See the plans page.

Goals work best alongside weekly progress, so you can see the target getting closer, and messages of encouragement along the way. In the app, daily quests and streaks give your child small wins every day.
