Exams don’t only ask you to pick A, B, C or D. They ask you to explain, describe and give reasons. 25schools lets you practise those written answers and marks them in seconds, so you know whether your explanation would earn the marks.
How marking works
- A mark out of 5 for every written answer, from 0 for a blank or wrong answer to 5 for a correct, complete explanation.
- Judged on meaning, not wording. A correct answer in your own words gets full credit. You do not have to copy the textbook.
- No marks lost for spelling, grammar or capital letters.
- One or two sentences of feedback, written to you, saying what you got right and what was missing.
How to practise
- Open a topic in the revision quizzes that includes written questions.
- Type your answer as you would in the exam: full sentences, with the key facts.
- Read the mark and the feedback.
- Rewrite the answer with what was missing, and try the next one.
Why it helps
Most learners lose marks on written questions not because they don’t know the topic, but because their answer is too thin: one fact where the examiner wanted two, or a statement without a reason. Feedback after every answer teaches you what a full answer looks like, long before the exam.
