For head teachers

Get warned early when a class starts to struggle

25schools flags classes averaging below the pass mark, marking left for more than a week and teachers with no assessments this month.

Problems in a school rarely appear overnight. Marking falls behind, a class slips below the pass mark, a subject goes quiet. 25schools watches for these signs and flags them to the head teacher early, while they are still easy to fix.

What triggers an alert

  • Low performance: a grade whose average falls below 50%. Marked as critical.
  • Overdue marking: submissions waiting more than 7 days to be marked, with the teacher and subject named.
  • Inactive teaching: teachers with no assessments set in the current month.

How it works

  1. Alerts are checked automatically as you use your school dashboard.
  2. Open the alerts list to see what needs attention, most serious first.
  3. Follow each one up with the teacher or class concerned.
  4. Mark it resolved, one at a time or several at once.

Why it helps

A head teacher can’t check every class’s results every week. Alerts do the checking for you and only interrupt when something is wrong. Learners get help weeks earlier than they would after the end-of-term report.

Plans

Every head teacher plan includes performance alerts; higher plans include every alert severity. See the plans page.
